Tasting Notes: A solid malt base provides the perfect platform for a beer packed full of American Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Fresh Pine notes and subtle grapefruit flavours round out this Kiwi take on an American classic. Inspired by the American Pacific Northwest, where Redwoods are king and the bulk of American hops are produced.
Awards: Silver NZ Brewers Guild Awards 2017 and 2018 and Silver Australian International Beer Awards 2018.
Food pairing: Hoppy Ales like an APA, have higher bitterness and citrus notes that cut through the fat in burgers or most meats on a BBQ. They can balance the boldness and chalkiness of a blue cheese. Spicy food, biryanis, curries and Szechuan dishes are also great matches.
