かつて繁栄した巨大文明は崩壊、世界には「ビ海」と呼ばれる毒素を発する森が広がる。人類はビ海の影響が及ばない、限られた『山ノ麓』で生活を送っていた。その1つ「風の谷」にAREA2470の輸送機が墜落。積荷の回収を極秘裏に焦る当局は、風の谷の長、隠遁生活の身であった蓑王（みのおう）C-ka（シカ）の拘束を要求。旧友そして剣の師のSaRuと二人、抵抗（レジスタンス）を続けていた。
この世界はなぜ、こんなふうになってしまった、SaRuよ。
C-kaサンよ。蓑王だったあんたにゃわからないかも知んないが、うだつの上がらない平民出にやっと巡ってきた幸運か、それとも破滅の罠か。そんなとこだ。

風の谷には新しい二人の旅人が演出しました：猿鹿。それを伴ってディレイラブリューワークスの新しいセゾン『風の谷の猿鹿』も明日からリリースします！ディレイラの錬金術師たちが最近の麹ビール革新を基に麹セゾンを生みました。ブリューマスターの言葉で：
白麹が織りなす香りと酸味が複雑さをもたらす新感覚セゾン。通常のセゾンよりボディがあるがマッシング時に白麹を入れることで糖化前にサワーリングしクエン酸を生成し後味の爽やかさを演出。ホップもシトラを使用することでクエン酸と柑橘系のアロマ、フレーバーの相乗効果を狙い、重たすぎないコクのあるセゾンを目指した。

“A sprawling, once flourishing civilization has crumbled away, leaving only a vast Toxic Jungle.
Unbroken by the now savage landscape, humanity continues to live on in ‘Yama no Sica’. Deep in the Valley of the Wind, in a place designated AREA2470, a transit vessel has crashed. The authorities, in a rush to retrieve the scattered cargo, demand the capture and detention of Chief C-Ka, who had been living in seclusion. In their isolation, C-Ka and his old friend and swordmaster, SaRu, continue their struggle.
‘Why has the world come to this, SaRu?’
‘Chief C-Ka, it may be hard for a man of your stature to understand, but for you it is either great fortune that a commoner has made his way to you, or a disastrous trap. That’s the way it is.’”
You may know Nausica, but now it’s time to meet the new intrepid denizens of the wasteland: Sarusica. That’s right, a special new Saison from Derailleur Brew Works is here, and it’s called Sarusica of the Valley of the Wind! The minds at Derailleur have taken a recent Japanese trend of adding koji (Japan’s national mold which is a key component of gettin’ that umami in Japanese dishes) and alchemized it and a refreshingly drinkable Saison. Our brewmaster explains it best:
“Starting with more body than a typical Saison, we added white koji during the mashing process to cause souring before the breakdown of sugars; this produces citric acid for a refreshing aftertaste. Combined with the Citra hops added during the boil, we aimed for a harmony of citric acid, citrus aroma and flavor to create a full-bodied Saison that’s still not too heavy.”
Of course the proof is in the drinking, which you can do as of Tuesday, October 19th following the release of Sarusica in-store and online! There’s no better companion on the barren wastes than a good brew, so pick up a can (or 6) and disembark.
