Agony is a barrel-aged sour beer series that Heretic makes in small batches. They use a different fruit each time, in this case fresh cherries from Northern California. Agony is fermented in the barrel with wild yeasts, resulting in a complex beer that develops over time. It is alive in the barrel and keg, and will continue to develop over time as the yeasts and bacteria continue to their work. The result is a complex, fruity, tart, and refreshing flavor experience.
