We’re so happy to announce the launch of BOOK, a new project by Beak Brewery showcasing free five minute reads from the UK’s best writers. The first release in the series is curated by one of the world’s greatest independent publishers, @faberbooks, and features three extracts from Max Porter’s highly anticipated new novel SHY, with cover artwork reimagined by @jay__cover. Porter is the author of The Death of Francis Bacon, Lanny, and Grief Is the Thing with Feathers. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages and he frequently collaborates with artists and musicians, most recently on the film All of this Unreal Time with Cillian Murphy, and the pamphlet It’s Going to Be A Bright New Day with Bonnie “Prince” Billy. We’ve paired his incredible work with a 6.5% IPA brewed with copious amounts of Simcoe, Strata and Citra. It’s thick, pillowy soft and – as you might expect from this hop combo – bursting with flavours of orange, tangerine and passionfruit. Peel, reveal and set forth your imagination!
