ルーカスとジュリアンは大学生の頃からの友人であり、2人とも教師をしていた。2012年、ベルギー国境沿いの街リールにあるビアバー、La Capsule Lilleでクラフトビール魅了された2人はホームブリューを始め、2015年のパリビールウィークでのコンペティションでBlack IPAが入賞。そこへもう1人のファウンダーであるチャールズが参加し、3人でHoppy Roadというプロジェクトをスタートすることを決意。
2017年5月に醸造スタート。近代的な技術と色とりどりなスタイルのビールたちで、レストランやバーへと様々なガストロノミーで切り込み、フランスのビールカルチャーを塗り替えるために日夜ビールをつくっている。”

Lucas and Julian fell in love with craft beer when they traveled to the Belgian city of Lille and the bar La Capsule Lille just next to the border between France and Belgium. They soon started homebrewing and won their first gold at a homebrew festival during Paris Beer Week in 2015 with a Black IPA. There they met up with the third founder of Hoppy Road – Charles – and they started planning their brewery. They finally started brewing in 2017 in the city of Nancy. They are using modern techology to brew a variety of beer styles made to challenge the gastronomy of the French bars and restaurants. They are working hard brewing beer day and night to challenge the French beer scene!
