Months later (was it nine?), it was brewed in an old video store in the Blue Mountains, Australia. Between trips down some local waterfalls and taking in the views over a few more beers, we did manage to fire up the brew kit. The result? A hazy DIPA with a surprisingly restrained amount of haze and sweetness but still with an excessive amount of flavour.
We agreed on double dry-hopping it with some of our favourite American hops - Citra, Centennial and BRU-1 - to provide assertive pineapple, mango and pink grapefruit notes.
