お出かけに持って出て、ほっと一息つく時に傍らにあったらいいな、そんなイメージから生まれたExtra Pale Ale「EXCURSION」。IPAよりも苦みは控えめにしながら、ホップをふんだんに使って、香りが存分に楽しめるように仕上げました。
見た目は、ストローカラーと言われる麦わら色の淡い色味。グラスに鼻を寄せると柑橘や松のニュアンスが感じられます。口に含むと、控えめながらもぴんと張り詰めたモルトの味わいがホップの程よい苦味を支えています。香りの奥から、ニュージーランド産ホップに特徴的なライムや白ワインの味わいが現れます。アフターテイストに残るのは心地よいホップの苦み。ドライに仕上がっているので、飲み飽きない一杯です。

We imagined a beer to enjoy under the open sky—and landed on the XPA style.

Short for Extra Pale Ale, XPA is said to have originated in Australia. It's lighter and drier than a Pale Ale, lower in alcohol than an IPA, and packed with hops for a balanced, easy-drinking profile—a true "best of both worlds" beer. EXCURSION uses plenty of hops but less bitterness than an IPA, letting the aroma shine. It pours a pale straw color with bright citrus and pine on the nose. Crisp malt supports gentle hop bitterness, with hints of lime and white wine from New Zealand hops.
