グラスに注ぐと、甘いヴァニラやシナモン、ナッツを思わせる、ラム酒の様な香り。
口に含むと、最初にコーヒーやダークチョコレートの様なスタウトらしい味わいを感じ
鼻に抜けていくアフターテイストでココナッツのシルキーな優しい甘みを感じます。

カリブ海で生まれたラム酒を飲んでいたのは、元イギリス海軍の海賊たち。サンセットを眺めながら飲んでいたラム酒の香りが、故郷に戻った今も忘れられない。
そんな彼らが手にする黒ビールには、カリビアンサンセットを思い出せる、"おまじない"が入ってる。

今回、コラボレーションしたのは僕らがモルト・ホップをいつも買っているサプライヤーのBET・Askaさんです。
元々掛川ビールで醸造長をしていた彼の、豊富な知識と醸造長Macの長年の経験が見事に交わり、今回のビールが完成しました！
ベースビールとしてスタウトを仕込み、そこにたっぷりのココナッツとラムバレルチップ(ラム酒が入っていた木製の樽を、チップ状に加工したもの) を漬け込みました。
バレルエイジング(樽熟成)ビールをつくるには通常、隔離されたバレルルームと温度管理、適切な衛生環境などハードルが高い壁がいくつもありますが、今回私たちが使用したバレルチップはそんなハードルを格段に低くしてくれる新しい手法です。

When poured into a glass, it has a rum-like aroma with hints of sweet vanilla, cinnamon and nuts.
On the palate, the stout-like flavor of coffee and dark chocolate is first detected, and then the silky, gentle sweetness of coconut in the aftertaste that passes through the nose.
The aftertaste, which passes through the nose, is silky and gently sweet with a hint of coconut.

The rum was born in the Caribbean and was drunk by former pirates of the British Royal Navy. The aroma of the rum they drank while watching the sunset is still unforgettable now that they are back home.
The black beer they drink has a "spell" in it to remind them of the Caribbean sunset.

We collaborated with BET Aska, our regular supplier of malt and hops.
As a former head brewer at Kakegawa Beer, his wealth of knowledge and years of experience as head brewer Mac combined beautifully to create this beer!
The base beer is a stout, and then we soaked it with lots of coconut and rum barrel chips.
Barrel-aged beers usually have a number of hurdles to overcome, such as isolation, temperature control, and proper sanitation, but the barrel chips we used for this project are a new method that lowers those hurdles significantly.
