最新リリースでは、友人であり隣人でもある国立ブルワリーとコラボレーションしました。国立は私たちの「柴崎セッション」をアレンジしたビールを醸造し、そのお返しに彼らの有名なアルトビールに私たち流のアレンジを加えました。

国立バージョンは、近隣にある谷保天満宮の創建年にちなんで「903」と名付けられました。このことからインスピレーションを得て、近隣の諏訪神社を調べたところ、長野県にある本宮はなんと811年に創建されたことがわかりました。

アルトビールは深い銅色と、一般的なドイツのラガーよりもわずかにフルーティーな香りを持つ上面発酵酵母を使用しているのが特徴です。ドイツ産モルトをブレンドすることで、豊かで複雑な味わいに仕上げ、サーザーホップを少量加えることで、木の香りとスパイスのニュアンスを添えています。

For our latest release we collaborated with our friends and neighbours at Kuniachi Brewery. They made a version of our Shibasaki Session, and in return we put our spin on their famous altbier.

The Kunitachi version is called “903” in homage to the founding date of nearby shrine Yaho Tenmangu. Taking inspiration from this, we looked into our nearby Suwa Shrine and found that the original Nagano one was founded all the way back in 811.

Altbier is characterised by its deep copper colour, as well as the use of a top fermenting yeast that gives it a slightly fruitier note than typical German lagers. We used a blend of German malts to give the beer a rich and complex character, topped off with a little Saazer hops to give a touch of woody spice.
