見た目は真っ黒、でも飲んでみると意外と軽くてドライ。
黒系のビールってその見た目から、重厚感のあるビールに感じますよね？
ところがどっこい。ドライスタウトは淡色系のビールとはまた違った飲みやすさがあって、良い意味で見た目とのギャップがあるスタイルなのではと思ってます。（すげえコワモテの人、話してみたらめっちゃ気さくな人だった。その様な感じ。）
今回はそんなドライスタウトを、もうほんの少し飲みやすく設計してみました。
セオリーから少し外したモルトやイーストをチョイスする事で、あくまでドライスタウトの範囲内でより軽さのある仕上がりに。
もちろんこのスタイル特有のロースト感やスムース感もしっかりと感じ取れます。
これから夏本番。
暑い日は淡色ラガーをクイッといきたい所ですが、ドライスタウトで喉を潤すなんてことも是非トライして頂ければと思った次第です。

Pitch black in appearance, but surprisingly light and dry on the palate.

When you think of dark beers, you probably imagine something rich and heavy, right?

Well, not necessarily. A Dry Stout has a drinkability that’s completely different from pale beers, and I think it’s a style that offers a pleasant contrast between its appearance and how it actually drinks. (Kind of like someone who looks really intimidating but turns out to be incredibly friendly.)

This time, we designed our Dry Stout to be just a little more approachable.

By choosing a few malts and a yeast strain that step slightly outside the traditional approach, we’ve created a beer that stays true to the style while feeling even lighter and more refreshing.

Of course, you’ll still find the signature roasted character and smooth mouthfeel that define a Dry Stout.

As summer really gets underway, it’s tempting to reach for a crisp pale lager on a hot day—but we’d love for you to give a Dry Stout a try to quench your thirst as well.
