チョコレートバーにインスパイアを受けたカカオとバニラが投入されたインペリアルスタウト。18時間に及びボイルの段階でカカオとバニラを投入し、そのご20ヵ月もの間バーボン樽にて熟成を経た。チョコレートのまったりとした奥深いフレーバー、バニラのまろやかなキャラクターに、コーヒーを想わせるニュアンス、そして樽香も感じられる。シルキーなマウスフィールと共に濃厚で芳醇な甘味ある味わいが口内に広がり、香ばしい苦みがアクセントを加える。アルコール度数を感じさせずに杯が進む危険な一本。
Boiled for 18 hours, aged in bourbon barrels for 20 months, and dosed with rich cacao and sweet vanilla, CHUNK is an over-the-top Imperial Stout heavily inspired by chocolate confections. And because we tend to be enthusiastic when it comes to adjuncts, it is also the most heavily augmented, concentrated, and rich sensory experiences one can seek out in the world of Ontario beer.
Is it thick? It's thick. Velvety? Soo velvety? A fleeting simulation of life on planet Choconut where entire townships are crafted from the fragrant insides of a vanilla pod? Also yes! Consider it hyper-adjuncted, or ultra-condensed to the point where we can no longer confirm any remaining water content.
