バーボン樽熟成のためだけにデザインされたインペリアル・スタウトで、このビールの 「フレッシュ 」バージョンはリリースされたことがない。昨年醸造され、6月に樽に詰められたこのビールは、18年物のエライジャ・クレイグ樽で15ヶ月間熟成された後、このリリースのために空樽にされ、ブレンドされた。バーボン、トフィー、チョコレート、ポートワイン、焦がした砂糖の風味が、この力強くも滑らかなビールで前面に出ている。今年のバッチは、バーボンとオークのニュアンスが増し、より豊かなモルトのボディと滑らかなチョコレートの風味がある。

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Honey
An imperial stout designed entirely for bourbon barrel aging, we never released a "fresh" version of this beer. Brewed last year and filled into barrels in June, this beer spent 15 months in 18-year-old Elijah Craig casks before being emptied and blended for this release. Bourbon, toffee, chocolate, port and burnt sugar flavors are forward in this strong but smooth beer. This year's batch has a richer malt body and smooth chocolate flavor with more nuance of bourbon and oak.
