Keen on NZ? The wizards of Mochimune have been bringing you lupulin goodies of various persuasions over the past several years, with different seasons bringing not only new names and places, but unique stories, history - and of course sensory. For Halloween 2026, Hop Dudes are stoked to fill your pillowcases with two unique varieties of Garston Hops, pairing each of them with Citra to create a baseline flavor profile and give your taste buds a chance to figure out what all the fuss is about.
Honest notes on our end, the hops didn't have quite the mind-blowing, stark contrast I remember from sensory on the field during harvest - but once they got into the beer proper you can feel the underlying character of the Mot break through, for what we feel is a more modern, tropical-forward take on the variety. Would be super fun to get this into a brew as a single hop (don't pair with Citra) and study things a bit further (maybe 2027!?).
