ブドウの皮に漬けこみ白ワインとブレンドしたサワーエール。ベースとなるサワーエールをヴィオニエグレープに4週間漬け込み、ゲヴュルツトラミネールワインを49％ブレンドし瓶詰した。ライチや桃の缶詰を想わせるジューシーなフレーバーにモスカートワインを彷彿とさせる風味が感じられる。キリっとしたジューシーな甘酸っぱさが口内に広がり、最後ドライに締めくくられる。
Vurt is our first grape ale with Viognier skins! Viognier is a lighter/aromatic white varietal that makes some very pretty wines. Often used in orange wine blends, viognier is like chardonnay’s relaxed cousin.
Vurt was made from a batch of (relatively light) sour beer that was aged on a heap of freshly pressed Viognier skins from Pearl Morissette for 4 weeks, and then blended with 49% Gewurztraminer at bottling.
Expect Muscato vibrations, sweet canned peaches, and champagne gumdrops. Vurt is a certified floral fruit party and you’re on the guest list!
