奈良から愛媛へ、東風をまとったライトラガー。
白く立ちのぼる泡とともに、清らかな風のように軽やかで透明感ある飲み口が広がります。
東風に導かれる龍の息吹を、爽快な一杯で感じてください。

普段のライスラガーは奈良県産の生米を使い、おかゆにしてから麦芽を加えて糖化します。
お米らしい風味が出る反面、ひと手間かかる方法です。
前回DD4Dで仕込んだ2種のうち、ひとつは奈良からうちが使っているお米を持っていったのでこの方法で仕込みましたが、もうひとつは普段のDD4Dのやり方で熱処理済み米を使い工程を省いた手法で仕込みました。
そのシンプルさに驚き、せっかくなので今回はその方法を採用。
加熱済み米と米由来の糖を使い、とても淡い色合いで麦の風味を抑えた、クリアで軽やかなライトラガーに仕上げました。（あと、いつもより一時間くらい仕込が早く終わりましたw)
Eurusは、明日紹介する「Zephyr」と双子のような存在です。
奈良から愛媛へ吹く風を意味し、東風＝Eurusと名付けました。
9/25から缶販売予定ですが、先行してけやきひろばビール祭り（9/19〜23）で開栓します。

Hello, this is Hidai.
Back in April, we brewed two rice lagers together with DD4D in Matsuyama, Ehime.
As a response to that collaboration, we created two new lagers here in Nara this August.
The first of them is Eurus — a light lager brewed with rice in a different way than usual, aiming for clarity and lightness.

The dragon blows, carrying a clear breeze from the east.
From Nara to Ehime, this lager embodies the refreshing “east wind.”
With its pure foam and bright, transparent flavor, it flows as lightly as a clear breeze.
Feel the breath of the dragon carried on the eastern wind.

Normally, our rice lagers use raw rice from Nara. We cook it into porridge before adding malt for saccharification — a method that brings out rice flavor but requires extra work.
In April at DD4D, one batch was brewed this way, but the other used pre-cooked rice that skipped the porridge step.
I was surprised by how simple it was, so this time we adopted that method: using pre-cooked rice and rice-derived sugars, resulting in a very pale, delicate beer with minimal malt character — crisp and easy to drink.
Eurus is like a twin to tomorrow’s beer, “Zephyr.”
The name comes from the east wind blowing from Nara to Ehime.
