樽熟成させたビールをブレンドするシリーズであるBarn Owl。今回はペールエールをアメリカンフードル樽で熟成させ、更にナイアガラ産のアプリコットとピーチを漬け込み熟成。アプリコットとピーチのジューシーなキャラクターに仄かにトロピカルフルーツの風味がまるでキャンディーやグミの様に感じられる。キリっとしたフルーティーな酸味が口内に広がり、ドライに締めくくられる。複雑ながらリフレッシングな味わいが喉の渇きを潤す。
Barn Owl is a series of one-off creations that are released sporadically throughout the year, just as soon as we deem the barrels ripe for the picking.
No. 28 is a lightly dry hopped blend of pale ales aged in American Oak foeders and conditioned on Niagara apricots and peaches.
Juicy, slightly-tropical fruit flavours are contrasted with a medium-sharp acidity reminiscent of Rocket Candy or Sour Patch Kids, creating a complex yet thirst-quenching experience.
