今年も伊豆のレモンと柚子で、「ゴーゼ」というスタイルのサワーエールを作りました。小麦がベースで、サワーエールなので酸っぱい方のビールです。塩を少々加えることで、ミネラル感も感じられるのが特徴的。

今年もやっぱり、いつもの大工さんが「ティールズでビール作るのに、これで足りる？」なんて言いながら、カゴいっぱいの自家栽培のレモンを持ってきてくれました。柚子は伊豆産の柚子を、しつこくないぐらいに加えて、ほんのる香り程度に。去年は、原料の塩をちょっと遠慮しながら入れたところ、ちょっとミネラル風味が弱かったので、今年は少し増やして、ミネラル感も感じられる程度になっています。

さて、ティールズのサワーやセゾンで時々やるのですが、去年の柚子＆レモンゴーゼ、1樽だけティー＆タップスで繋がっています。ぜひ去年と今年の両方を並べて飲み比べしてみてください。

We brewed a Gose style sour ale, with lemon and yuzu from Izu. It is a wheat based beer, and the addition of a bit of salt gives it a slight minerality.

This time, again, our beloved carpenter came to the brewery with a basket full of home-grown lemons, saying "is this enough to make beer at TIELS?" (Yes, of course!) We also added just the small amount of yuzu is from Izu to give it a subtle aroma, but not too much. Last year, we were a little hesitant to add salt, which gave it a slightly weak mineral flavor, so this year we increased the salt a little more, so that the minerality could be felt.

Now, as we sometimes do with TIELS Sour and Saison beers, one keg of last year's Yuzu & Lemon Gose was kept and now being served at TIELS TEA & TAPS. Please try to compare both last year's and this year's side by side.
