昨年も仕込んだSmoked Mexican Lagerを、少しレシピを変えて一回仕込みました。
淡色系のビールにスモークのキャラクターを与えるのは、誰もやらないこともあり勝手にうちの十八番だと思っているのですが、今回もいい具合です。
前回と変えた点はホップをヨーロッパからアメリカンホップにしたこと。
Simcoeを使用したことで、フレーバーに相橘系のニュアンスが加わることで爽快感が増し、コーン由来の柔らかなマウスフィールにドライなスモーク感が、ドリンカブルでキャッチーな仕上がりとなっております。
単体でぐびっとでも、食事に合わせてもいける万能プレーヤーです。

We brewed our Smoked Mexican Lager again, this time with a slightly tweaked recipe.
Adding a smoky character to a light-colored beer isn't something you see often, and we like to think it's one of our signatures-this batch turned out great as well.
The main change this time was switching the hops from European to American.
By using Simcoe, citrus notes come through in the flavor, enhancing the refreshment. Combined with the soft mouthfeel from corn and a dry smokiness, it results in a highly drinkable and catchy finish.
It's a versatile beer—perfect on its own or paired with food.
