ヴァイスビアはバイエルンの代表的な小麦ビールであり、ドイツで最も人気のあるビールスタイルの一つです。ヴァイスビアはドイツ語で「白いビール」を意味し、麦芽配合に淡い小麦を大量に使用することで、ビールに淡い麦わら色を与えることから名付けられました。
当社のバージョンでは、ドイツ産のモルトとホップをすべて使用しました。淡い小麦とピルスナーモルトが穀物配合の基盤を成し、ミュンヘンモルトを少量加えることで、黄金色の夏らしい色合いを引き出しています。ドイツのノーブルホップであるハースブルッカー・ピュアが、レモン系の柑橘系の繊細な香りを添えています。しかし、このビールの主役は酵母で、明るいバナナの香りに、リンゴ、クローブ、プラムの繊細な香りが支えています。
Weissbier is the archetypal wheat beer of Bavaria, and one of Germany’s most popular beer styles. Weissbier means “white beer” in German, and is derived from the pale straw colour given to the beer by the use of a large percentage of pale wheat in the malt bill.
For our version we used all German malts and hops. Pale wheat and pilsner malt form the basis of the grain bill, with a touch of Munich malt to bring out a golden summery hue. Hersbrucker Pure are our noble German hops to bring a subtle note of lemony citrus. The yeast is the star in this beer though, with a bright banana aroma supported by subtle notes of apple, clove, and plum.
