オルタナティブIPAが晴れて高尾工場で常時生産されることになり、日本橋工場におけるR&Dの役割がより一層大きなものとなってきました。

今回はオルタナの枠組みはそのままに、使用するホップや味のテンション感を少しずつ調整したIPAです。

一昔前のゴリゴリの苦味、キレ、グレープフルーツ感がオルタナの根幹にありますが、モダンとの両立を果たしている側面も多々あります。

そんなモダンさをより前に出すような形にした今回のこのビールには、Cascade, Comet, Ekuanot, Citra, Mosaicといったクラシックなホップはそのままに、Ella, Riwakaなどの南半球のホップを織り交ぜています。

柑橘感はそのままに、より華やかでブライトな印象のIPAです。

With the Alternative IPA now officially moving into year-round production at the Takao Brewery, the role of R&D at the Nihonbashi Brewery has become more important than ever.

This iteration stays within the established framework of the Alternative IPA, while subtly adjusting the hop selection and overall flavor intensity.

At its core, the beer is rooted in the bold bitterness, crisp finish, and grapefruit-driven character of old-school IPAs from years past. At the same time, it balances those elements with a distinctly modern sensibility.

To push that modern expression further, this version keeps classic hops such as Cascade, Comet, Ekuanot, Citra, and Mosaic, while weaving in Southern Hemisphere varieties like Ella and Riwaka.

The result is an IPA that maintains its citrus-forward profile, but with a brighter, more vibrant, and aromatic impression.
