1.Built around Strata and fresh-crop Mosaic hops.
2.A low final gravity keeps the finish crisp and dry, while the mineral profile of the water adds depth and a satisfying mouthfeel.

名前について / About the Name

Coastalismはビーチで飲むに相応しいWest Coast IPAを模索して作るシリーズです。この名前は下田の美しい海岸線や潮風、ビーチで過ごす時間から着想を得ています。

下田でIPAを飲むなら、やっぱりホップのフレーバーがドライなキリッとしたボディに乗っているIPAがいいですね。
今回はMosaicとStrataをフィーチャー。

Coastalism is an ongoing West Coast IPA series dedicated to exploring what makes the perfect IPA for enjoying at the beach. The name is inspired by Shimoda’s beautiful coastline, the ocean breeze, and the time spent by the sea.

When drinking an IPA in Shimoda, we believe hop flavor shines brightest when it rides on a crisp, dry body. For this release, we've chosen to feature Mosaic and Strata, showcasing their vibrant character in a clean and refreshing West Coast IPA.

造りかた / How It's Made

Pilsner maltを中心に、Vienna malt, Wheat maltを少し混ぜたシンプルなモルト構成。ブドウ糖も使っています。
最終比重はSG1.005 / 1.4 plato

Dip HopでSimcoe Dyna Boostを使いましたが、それ以外はMosaicとStrataのみのホッピング。

The malt bill is kept simple, built around Pilsner malt with small additions of Vienna malt and Wheat malt. The beer finishes very dry at SG 1.005 (1.4°P).

Simcoe Dyna Boost was used exclusively for the dip hop, while all other hopping was done with Mosaic and Strata.

味わい / Tasting Notes

フレーバー ,アロマ / Flavor, Aroma

マスカットやベリー、パイン、グラッシーなニュアンスのホップキャラクター。苦味は適度(計算値53IBU)。
ドライなクリーンフィニッシュ。

The hop character showcases notes of muscat grape, mixed berries, pineapple, and subtle grassy nuances. Bitterness is firm yet balanced (53 IBU calculated), leading to a dry, clean finish.
