2026年初仕込みはWest Coast Pisから。
昨年1番印象に残った出来事といえばやはり Firestone
Walkerとのコラボビール、Celifornia Soulをリリースしたこと。
その際に仕込んだのもWest Coast Pilsでした。
ドイツのモルト・ホップを下地にアメリカのホップで彩りをつける、クラシックとモダンが見事に融合したビール。
個人的にも昨年1番の会心の出来だったかもしれません。
新年1発目は縁起良くいかないとね！ということで、このいCalifornia Soulの組み立て方をベースに、ちょこちょこっといじったのがこのビール。
ベースのMerkur、SaphirとWPのMosaic、 Cenntenial、Saphir。DHにはCltraとElaniをチョイス。
優しく程よいノーブルなフレーバーに、ジューシーなホップ感が心地よく口に広がります。
これでアルコール度数は5%と据え置きなのだから驚き。
時間を気にせずグビグビ飲めて、しかも飲み飽きない仕上がりです。

2026’s first brew was a West Coast Pils.

Looking back on last year, the most memorable moment for me was definitely releasing our collaboration beer California Soul with Firestone Walker. That brew was also a West Coast Pils.

Built on a base of German malts and hops, then layered with American hops, it was a beautifully balanced fusion of classic and modern styles. Personally, it might have been my most satisfying brew of the year.

You want to start the new year on a lucky note, right? So this beer is based on the structure of California Soul, with a few subtle tweaks here and there.

The base hops are Merkur and Saphir, combined with Mosaic, Centennial, and Saphir from WP. For dry hopping, we chose Citra and Elani.

Gentle, pleasantly noble flavors meet juicy hop character, spreading smoothly across the palate. And with the alcohol content kept at just 5%, it’s surprisingly drinkable.

It’s a beer you can keep drinking without worrying about the time — refreshing, easy, and endlessly enjoyable.
