シアトルから北に車で1時間半ほどのベリンガムにあるブルワリー&ビアカフェ「Otherlands Beer」とのコラボレーション。Fair IsleとOtherlands双方お気に入りのベルギー・ワロン地方のセゾンに着想を得て、ピルスナーモルト100%と欧州産ホップを使用したテーブルセゾンを設計。伝統的なザーツ、テットナガー、ハラタウミッテルフリューを1バレルあたり3.5ポンドとたっぷりと使用し、華やかな花やスパイスの香りと、余韻の残る柔らかな苦味を生み出しています。主発酵はOtherlandsのハウスラガー酵母で行い、Fair Isleのワイルドイーストで仕上げの二次発酵。オザーランズのフルーティーなラガー酵母、フローラルなホップ、そして野生酵母由来のレモンやメロン、ルバーブの風味が見事に融合しています。クリーンで軽やか、明るい味わいの出来です！

Presenting batch two of Nikolai, our collaboration with Otherlands Beer (@otherlandsbeer)!   Nikolai is a light hoppy saison with a blend of Saaz, Tettnanger, and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh at 3.5 lbs per barrel, creating expressive notes of floral, spice, and a lingering soft bitterness. Fermented with Otherland’s house lager yeast and finished with our house saison culture of feral and wild yeasts, Nikolai fuses Otherland’s fruity lager yeast, floral hops and the Meyer lemon profile from our yeast.

This batch drinks clean, light and bright with notes of ripe lemons, melons and rhubarb. Nikolai is refreshing and vertical – perfect for these warmer days!
